Our Process

The Millman Search Group takes a studied approach to employee search and placement.  Part science, part human nature, these are the seven steps of our process:

  1. Planning.  We familiarize ourselves with your enterprise and devise a strategic, individualized plan for every management search we conduct.  We come to agreement with our client, in advance, on essential dates, events and criteria for the project.   And we establish benchmarks for determining the success of the placement, as well as establishing all financial parameters of our business agreement.

  2. Search.  We begin by identifying candidates who possess the skills and talents matching your requirements. We screen our comprehensive professional database, then begin making confidential inquiries within our nationwide network of contacts.

  3. Contact. Once potential candidates have been identified, we contact them on a personal and confidential basis.  We present them with details of the opportunity, its attendant responsibilities and the potential of the position.  We then examine the qualifications of the candidates against the requirements of the job.  We select an exclusive group of candidates based upon their past experience and level of achievement.

  4. Recruitment.  Candidates are screened and interviewed based upon their skills, achievements and personal fit for an opportunity. Through this process we narrow our selection of potential candidates to a highly-screened group of finalists.

  5. Introduction.  Final candidates are introduced to the client company through a discussion of job history, accomplishments and personal fit.  If a strong mutual interest exists between client and candidate, the conversation moves forward and interviews are scheduled.

  6. Negotiation.  We serve as the pipeline of communication between the candidate and the client company to clarify all questions regarding salary, terms, benefits and relocation, if required.

  7. Partnership.  We maintain communication with the client throughout and even after the placement process, ensuring complete satisfaction with their employee selection.
